Tata Technologies is Hiring a CAD Designer Near Detroit, MI
- Plan and design engineering aspects of automotive and manufacturing components including automotive weatherstrips.
- Prepare detailed drawings of mechanical equipment using computer-aided design software.
- Modify and refine designs, using working models, to conform to customer specifications, production limitations, or changes in design trends.
- Provide engineering support within the clients' new product design processes, from inception to development, providing advanced computer aided engineering renditions and models for the proposed components.
- Evaluate feasibility of design ideas.
- Produce CAD solid models of proposed mechanical components, providing engineering analytics of designed components and systems and recommending optimal materials, specifications, and component selections for the production process.
- Produce documentation detailing the design specifications of components and generate engineering test plans and reports in preparation for migrating the design plans into manufacturing and production environments.
- Liaise with global product design teams.
- Job may be performed from anywhere in the U.S. at various unanticipated client sites.
Skills
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering field and 3 years of experience with CAD and/or CAE. Must also have experience with:
2 years of experience with CAD Design
2 years of experience with Engineering Design
2 years of experience with Product Design for automotive weatherstrips.
Position eligible for full-time or part-time telecommuting with authorization from manager and HR
BASE SALARY RANGE: $76,565 - $91,878/year. Regional salary adjustments for CA, CO, NY and WA states are base 20% - 30%.
LOCATION: 6001 Cass Ave 600, Detroit, MI, 48202 and various unanticipated client sites.
